One of the most important things we do is support you academically. Along with MedSoc’s Welfare team, we are available to help solve most problems you come up against.
Congratulations on making it to Sheffield Medical School.
Bear with me whilst I try and convince you that we are not as boring as you may think. Or, if I can’t convince you of that, maybe I can convince you that we do a few things to smoothen out the ride through the next five years…
For us, this means we go to a lot of meetings with staff and make sure students are always given a voice. We put across any views you may have and make sure decisions are made in your best interests. This includes things like exam feedback, placement allocation, travel expenses etc.
We know that medical exams can seem a bit daunting, so each year we put on mock exams for 1st and 3rd year students to help with revision and ease the worry. We also organise revision pub quizzes for each year and guest lecturers. If you have any ideas on any more events we could be doing for you, get in touch—we are always looking for new ideas!
One of the most important things we do is support you academically. Along with MedSoc’s Welfare team, we are available to help solve most problems you come up against. Students can always rely on confidential advice from us, and if we can’t solve it ourselves, we promise to find you someone who can.
