Freshers Fayre Itinery
The MDU is led and staffed by doctors who have real-life experience of the pressures and challenges you face every day. Their expertise in medico-legal issues, complaints and claims is unparalleled. We are proud of our heritage, but we are always looking forward, shaping our products and services to meet the changing needs of the medical profession.
Having professional protection probably isn’t at the top of your list right now, but you will need it. In just 60 seconds you can join and get support for your whole career – not just your training years. Medical Protection will help you through life as a student, with discounts on a range of medical books, advice from doctors, and access to podcasts, online learning and much more.
They are the independent regulator of doctors in the UK and they work with doctors, patients, and other stakeholders to support good, safe patient care. They set the standards doctors and those who train them need to meet, and help them achieve them.
The BMA represents, supports and negotiates on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students. They are member-run and led, fighting for the best terms and conditions as well as lobbying and campaigning on the issues impacting the medical profession.
Focus Games creates educational games designed to enhance medical students' learning through engagement and practical application of knowledge. Their games cover various healthcare topics, helping students develop critical thinking, decision-making, and teamwork skills in a fun and dynamic way.
TeachMeAnatomy is a comprehensive, easy-to-use anatomy learning platform, designed to simplify the complexities of human anatomy. Ideal for students, whether they be Phase 1 or looking to recap anatomical knowledge for their placements, it offers detailed diagrams, comprehensive articles, and a variety of quizzes to enhance your learning experience.
The Royal Navy Medical Services provides comprehensive healthcare to personnel on ships, submarines and the Royal Marines. You will be using your medical skills in a wide range of contexts, from an NHS Hospital to some of the most challenging environments in the world
True North Brew Co are a Sheffield-born hospitality company. They now have 11 venues across South Yorkshire, a successful brewery, a gin distillery and we are home to a number of experiences including the Sheffield School of Gin experience.
MedSoc members get a 20% discount on food, drink and True North Brew Co. events and experiences in following venues: Forum, The Old Grindstone, The Crown and Anchor, The Common Room and The Punch Bowl.
