University of Sheffield Medics’ Orchestra

We are Sheffield University’s non-audition orchestra that, despite the name, is open to everybody – not just medics!

We work throughout the semesters to produce two concerts a year, one at Christmas and one in the Spring. These concerts serve not only to showcase our talent and hard work, but also to raise money for charity.

We play as a full orchestra, and whilst we definitely emphasise playing for fun, we still aim to perform to a high standard. In previous years we have had small groups form from within the orchestra, and we absolutely love having them play in the concerts.
