About
A society for everyone with an interest in taking medicine outside the hospital setting and into the wild!
We go on regular walks in the Peak District and conduct emergency scenarios, where we practice the wilderness medicine skills taught in our teaching sessions.
We also have talks from inspirational speakers, such as from Mountain Rescue and Cave Rescue, along with doctors who have practised expedition medicine.
Each year we run a couple of weekends away to national parks in the UK and we take part in Wild Trials, the national wilderness medicine competition.
We are a really friendly and relaxed society! Feel free to join us at a level of commitment suitable to you! 😊
